MEET MARK BELL
Mark Bell and his wife, Paula, have called Forest Hills home since 2000. Paula is a proud graduate of Turpin High School, and together they chose this community to raise their three children—Abby (2016), Josh (2020), and Chloe (2022), all Turpin graduates. Having seen firsthand the dedication of Forest Hills teachers and the success of its students, Mark is committed to ensuring the district continues preparing young people to thrive in life. That commitment is what led him to run for the Forest Hills School Board.
Mark brings a strong financial background to the board. He holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from Miami University, an MBA in Finance from the University of Maryland, and is a Certified Public Accountant. His career includes leading the accounting department of a $1 billion public company, auditing nonprofit organizations, and teaching audit and nonprofit accounting at the University of Cincinnati. His expertise in analyzing financial statements and forecasting trends ensures sound decision-making that benefits both students and taxpayers.

My mission is to keep Forest Hills strong, transparent, and focused on students. With my financial expertise, I will ensure taxpayer dollars are managed wisely, overhead costs remain low, and resources flow directly into the classroom where they make the greatest impact.
At the same time, I am committed to student success through clear, measurable benchmarks and accountability at every level. I believe in open communication with the community, strong long-term planning, and preparing students not just academically but socially and emotionally for today’s challenges. By combining fiscal responsibility with forward-looking strategies, I will help Forest Hills remain a district where students thrive and families are proud to call home.
